A down-to-earth Northerner, Mark mixes creativity with pragmatism to help clients deliver lasting business improvement. He’s expert in designing and delivering learning processes that engage thousands in a single organisation, yet still finds time to practise yoga and go on the odd bike ride.
Mark recognised the value of truly involving people in changes within their organisation when he moved into management consultancy in the early 90s. Twenty years later, Mark’s passion for helping organisations to engage their people in the things that are important to the business and the individual alike is undiminished.
Founder and Director
After graduating from university with a degree in Marketing and Organisational Theory, Gideon spent ten years in senior sales and marketing positions in the packaging industry before a former famous footballer, who nearly scored in a European Cup final, headhunted him in to the world of experiential learning.
What would have happened to Gideon if that footballer had actually scored we don’t know. Perhaps he would never have had the chance to work with so many great clients across the world, helping them involve their people in a wide range of change-related challenges.
Gideon considers it a real treat to work with all sorts of different organisations; learning what they do, how they work, understanding their history, their culture – all the things that make them tick – they make him tick too.
Known as ‘Tigger’ by many a client, Pippa’s boundless enthusiasm for every project, ensures the whole team has serious fun along the way.
An experienced lead consultant, she scopes, writes and project manages communications and engagement programmes with rigour and energy. She is passionate about developing the right content for the right audiences, turning often very complex challenges into simple and straightforward messages and designing engaging activities and materials which encourage people to discover the ‘meaning for me’.
She loves the thought of how much more there is to know about the world and over the last 20 years, has enjoyed working with clients in sectors as diverse as petrochemicals, mining, automotive, energy, retail, telecommunications and financial services.
Life beyond the desk sees her flying across fields and ‘dancing’ to music from the film Rocky on her beautiful dressage horse – The Dude!
Jane’s work is focused on enabling employees at all levels in an organisation to have conversations that engage them in what the business needs to deliver. Her work includes developing interactive leadership and employee events, creating compelling strategic narratives, designing communication skills leadership behavioural programmes, creating new communication channels and planning and delivering global internal communication campaigns.
Jane’s most recent client work includes development of interactive programmes to engage global leaders from Rolls Royce and Airbus in leading high reliability environmental, health and safety cultures. Creating conversation tools that address workplace mental health challenges and stigma. Supporting Air BP with the development and articulation of their strategic narrative and providing strategic communications support to a range of major high value client programmes for Babcock International.
Previously, Jane was awarded IABC Gold Quill awards on two occasions, in 2013 and 2015, for her work to create professional development programmes for HSBC’s global communications team.
Jane loves running, beer, and walking the dog – but not all at the same time!
Melanie loves to get creative to develop innovative and engaging solutions, but can’t help but dig in to the detail too. ‘Make it real’ is her mantra. She firmly believes that conversations must reflect the reality of what’s actually happening in an organisation if people are to get on board and deliver the desired outcomes.
From organisation-wide engagement programmes to small-scale workshops, leadership conferences to technical elearning programmes, there is not much in the communications and engagement world she hasn’t tackled in the last 20 years, but her passion and thirst for knowledge for making change a positive experience for all those involved continues to grow.
Away from the desk, Melanie loves cycling and long country walks and uses her creative energy (or eye for detail) to dabble in interior design.

From learning maps, interactive tools, to events, digital solutions and branding, Matt creates elegant, engaging, consistent and on-brand design solutions that bring the innovative work of BB&A’s consultants to life. He and the BB&A creative team provide the strong visual identity that hold client programmes together and ensure that content is truly engaging and accessible for all.
Matt is happiest when munching on double chocolate biscuits with his headphones on listening to very loud music!
