Targeted behaviour change to reduce incidents and injuries
We developed a targeted approach to support Rolls-Royce with changing the behaviours that sat behind the four main causes of incidents and injuries in the business.
We worked with Rolls-Royce to understand the behaviours that sat behind the most common causes of incidents and injuries in their business and then developed a toolkit to support managers in engaging their teams in changing those behaviours.
The toolkit focused on supporting a shift in mindset from safety being someone else’s responsibility to safety being ‘my personal responsibility’.
Tools included quizzes, checklists, conversation starters and mini ‘campaigns’. These were brought together in one easy-to-navigate, digital guide to support managers in controlling risks and reducing incidents and injuries in their part of the business.
The tools are being launched throughout Rolls-Royce in Q4 2020. Success will be measured through a reduction in the numbers of reported incidents and injuries.
