Safety first for front line
Following a challenge from British Gas MD for the business to reduce safety incidents, we supported the success of the British Gas Safety First behaviour programme by creating engagement tools that focused the front line on their safety behaviours.
Reaching different audiences in different ways
Engaging British Gas 27,000 employees, many of whom are remote and shift-based workers, required a creative and flexible engagement solution. We created tools for a range of different audiences – office staff, installers and field engineers – to engage them in safety issues and explore their personal approach to safety.

The ‘Improving Safety Performance’ workshop explored what could be done differently to prevent incidents. The workshop included highly-visual learning maps showing typical scenes facing staff every day. Participants talked through these exploring, for example, what they could start, stop and continue doing to make a difference in each situation.
