Helping employees to celebrate World Environment Day 2020

Earlier this year, Takeda announced that by 2040 they will be carbon neutral across their value chain. They wanted to ensure their employees understood what this means for the company and what they can do personally, both at home and at work, to support the environment and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Working closely with Takeda’s sustainability colleagues, we developed a theme – food and climate change – for this year’s World Environment Day (WED) and a suite of tools and activities to promote WED and engage people in the conversation.

From plasmas and posters on Takeda’s progress and targets, to quizzes and games on the benefit for the environment of eating a plant-based, in-season diet, we created a toolkit of activities to reach employees in the workplace and at home, encouraging partners and children to also join in.

The tools were simple to translate into multiple languages and quickly deployed around the world.
